Pafford is looking to hire a Communications Center Manager which directs all aspects of the Pafford EMS Communications Center. Manages, coordinates, and assesses the work of assigned staff to ensure operations comply with all local, state and federal regulations, as well as, all Pafford EMS policies and procedures. Recommends policy changes and coordinates improvements that enhance response for allied agencies. Represents the organization and communicates goals and objectives with staff and the executive team; directs all operations, activities, and programs within the communications center; performs other duties as assigned.

Vital Link EMS is a private, non-profit, public benefit corporation that provides emergency, non-emergency, and disaster response services to Independence, Izard, Stone, and northern Cleburne counties in north central Arkansas.  Vital Link has been in operation since 1983 and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services since 2003. Vital Link has a competitive salary and benefits package.

 The Paramedic will Restore and Promote patients health by administering life support and transport the sick and injured persons in the out-of-hospital setting  as authorized by established medical protocol or physician; activating and collaborating with the emergency medical system multidisciplinary team; meeting CAAS accreditation standards; and working to assure the accomplishment of Vital Link goals. The Paramedic shifts will mainly be 48 hours on and 96 hours off.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • High School or equivalency diploma.
  • Arkansas Paramedic License; Nationally Registered Paramedic preferred.  Current CPR and ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.
  • Valid Arkansas Driver’s License.
  • Motor Vehicle Operators record which complies with Vital Link standards.
  • Must be 19 years of age.
  • Demonstrated ability in teamwork, communication, writing, and relating skills

EMT/FIREFIGHTER – CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS FIRE DEPARTMENT

The City of West Memphis is seeking EMT/Firefighter’s. These are full time positions with benefits. EMT’s provide outstanding 911 and ambulance transportation services to the surrounding area, and when working as Firefighters they respond to emergency situations and primarily protect people, the environment and property from all types of accident and emergencies. They work closely with the local community to increase their level of fire safety awareness in order to help prevent fires and accidents occurring in the first place.

Education, Experience and Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be 18 years of age and pass a drug screen, background check, physical, psychological evaluation, and agility test.
• EMT’s must also meet Arkansas State Certification requirements within a determined amount of time from the date of hire.

Salary Range: non-exempt $ 29,736 annually pending experience and certifications.
