Mercy EMS – Springfield, Missouri, in partnership with DT4EMS, is offering an Escaping Violent Encounters for EMS and Fire (EVE4EMS/FIRE) Instructor Course March 30 – April 3 in Springfield. Cost is $1,500 per student for a 5 day instructor course. This course will provide the participant all of the necessary tools to go back and educate their staff on the basic 2 day (16 hours) escaping violent encounters course. With this training, the staff will learn a comprehensive approach to making good decisions in using proper levels of force in the process of defending themselves. Without a compressive course like this, your staff may fall back on what they have always done. Or, worse yet, not know what to do. Either can lead to a staff member putting themselves or your department in civil liability or even criminal liability. It is up to all of us to do what we can to properly prepare our staff for violent encounters as a responsibility to your staff and the public that we come into contact with.
If you have any questions about the course, need more information and/or to register, please contact the person listed below. Please feel free to share this course information with your co-workers and other colleagues.
