Brenda Kay Summers Davis EMT# 6176

OCTOBER 29, 1947 ~ MARCH 24, 2019 (AGE 71)

Brenda K. Summers Davis, 71, of Beech Grove, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 24, 2019.  She was born October 29, 1947, in Light, to Ira Leland and Sylvia Jewel Davis.  Brenda was a lifetime member of Light Baptist Church.  She worked as an LPN at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center for 40 years, an EMT, and as an EMT instructor.  Brenda’s passion was caring for others.  She enjoyed sharing her talents with others by creating different programs.  She was seen as a small town celebrity and loved serving her community.  Above all Brenda loved the Lord and her family.  Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Vernon and Judy Summers of Conway, Arkansas; daughter and son in law, Theresa and Timothy Eason of Paragould; brother, Leland Davis; sisters, Barbara Hill; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Thursday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Tommy Stacey officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The Greene County Rescue Squad and Law Enforcement will have the honor to serve as pallbearers.

Robert Elvis Burnett – EMT# 10720

Robert Burnett, 54 of Guntown, Mississippi passed away March 3, 2019. He was born December 15, 1964 in Los Angeles, California and was the son of the late, Charles Allen Burnett and Artie Geraldine Jones Burnett.

Robert was Catholic by faith and was an EMT-Paramedic. Robert was a kind person who loved his work and saving lives. Robert loved teaching EMS and first responders. He enjoyed collecting old items of any kind, decorating Christmas tree was his favorite, and he was known to put up as many as 6 Christmas trees in one year. He loved going to yard sales and browse for something new that he did not have yet. He loved to spoil the grandkids and shop online for their Christmas. Robert loved teaching EMS and first responders.

Survivors are his spouse Miles R. Whitehead, his children, Brooklyn Ann Burnett of Guntown, MS and Cory Auston Snow of Arkansas, Roger Whitehead of Guntown, Mississippi, Jennifer Harris of Guntown, Mississippi and Beth Howard of Guntown, Mississippi, two brothers, Charles Allen Burnett of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Roy Alvin Burnett of Texas and three sisters, Pattie Ann Burnett-Bonnes of Douglassville, Texas, Marilyn Lee Burnett of Linden, Texas and Mary Burnett and Eleven grandchildren.
