Bryan Malone
Born: April 21, 1970
Died: June 11, 2016

Brian Malone, 46, of Jonesboro died Saturday, June 11, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas while on a diving excursion. He had lived his entire life in Jonesboro. He was a member of the Brookland Church of Christ. Brian was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was very active in his community as well as his Memphis Fire Department Community. He worked as a firefighter/medic for the Memphis Fire Department and a paramedic for Emerson Ambulance Service. Brian was also a member of the Jonesboro Police Reserve where he also worked as a SWAT Medic for the Jonesboro Police Department SWAT Team. He loved the fire/law enforcement/medical community. He served as a paramedic instructor and a member of the Tennessee Task Force 1, a division of Homeland Security. His hobbies included SCUBA diving where he was a Dive Master; helping out with Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics. Brian was an avid gun enthusiast and a gunsmith. He recently received his BS degree from Bethel University. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Malone; his father and Step-mother, Jim and Mary Malone.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Michelle “Shelly” Malone of the home; son, Daniel Malone of Ft. Lewis, Washington; and daughter, Ashley Nolen of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Saturday morning, June 18, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Tony Pulliam and Don Blackmore officiating. Burial will be private. Jonesboro Fire Department and the Jonesboro Police Department Honor Guard will be conducting fire and law enforcement honors. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Memphis Fire Department, Jonesboro Police Department, Jonesboro Police Reserve, Jonesboro Police SWAT Team, Emerson Ambulance Service, and J & T Dive Shop. Visitation will be from 4-7 Friday, June 17, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.
