Tommy Lane “Tom” Ford, age 47, of Royal died, Friday, June 26, 2015.

He was born on January 5, 1968 in La Mirada, California, the son of Clarence Ford and Dorothy Foust Ford. On September 14, 1990, he was married to Paula Muncrief. He was preceded in death by his son, Jayson Ford; his paternal grandparents, Dallas and Laura Ford; and his maternal grandparents, Bob and Erma Foust.

Tom was a Baptist in faith and a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a police officer for the Hot Springs Police Department, a paramedic for MEMS in Little Rock and was an instructor at National Park Technical Center in medical professions education and criminal justice. Tom also was a volunteer instructor for 70 West Fire Department and he truly had a servant’s heart.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Ford of Royal; his parents, Clarence and Dorothy Ford of Royal; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie and Tony Cole of Maricopa, Arizona and Paula and William Hopper of Royal; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. George Lynch officiating.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery with honors provided by the MEMS Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Griffin, Mike Roberson, Tim Joe, Kenny Ford, Ray Knapp, Irvin Black and Mark White.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Hopper, Hugh Albright, Roger Keller, the Sunshine Coffee Group, the employees of LifeNet, the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, the Garland County Coroner’s Office and Dr. Michael S. Mullins.
