To Members of the AEMTA,
It is with great pleasure I write to you.
First, I would like to tell you about the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM) that has completed the required class on January 15 and 16, 2015. We have 23 people that are now ready to handle stress involved situations through the state. In my opinion this has been needed for years but is now a reality. I hope they are never needed but I know better.
This team is able to respond anytime day or night 7 days a week.
I would like to thank Denise Carson, Jennifer Blaylock and their staff for the great classroom and facilities that we were able to use at MED-TECH EMS, Morrilton, Ar. plus all the help and support they gave us.
Second, the AEMTA now has an Emergency Support Response Team that has completed their training also. On January 24 the training was completed by some of the team members so we can respond to serve the people of this great state. We have several that still need the training so remember it isn’t too late to join this team and get your training also.
I would like to thank Watson Chapel Fire Department for the use of their Station 1 for this training.
