EMT/FIREFIGHTER – CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS FIRE DEPARTMENT
The City of West Memphis is seeking EMT/Firefighter’s. These are full time positions with benefits. EMT’s provide outstanding 911 and ambulance transportation services to the surrounding area, and when working as Firefighters they respond to emergency situations and primarily protect people, the environment and property from all types of accident and emergencies. They work closely with the local community to increase their level of fire safety awareness in order to help prevent fires and accidents occurring in the first place.
Education, Experience and Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be 18 years of age and pass a drug screen, background check, physical, psychological evaluation, and agility test.
• EMT’s must also meet Arkansas State Certification requirements within a determined amount of time from the date of hire.
Salary Range: non-exempt $ 29,736 annually pending experience and certifications.
