Randy Luke Davis, 53, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was a retired Sebastian County Paramedic Supervisor for 30 years and currently employed as a business assessor for the Sebastian County Assessor’s Office.

He is survived by his wife Bethany; two sons, Clay Davis of Greenwood, Josh Davis and wife, Misty of Cabot, AR; four daughters, Ashley Davis of Greenwood, Kaylee Banning and husband, Joe of Hawaii, Eden Hester and Erin Hester both of Fort Smith; three brothers, Jack Hackney and wife, Gayle of Fort Smith, Jim Hackney of Greenwood and Jackie Davis and wife, Heather of Greenwood; two sisters, Brenda Brooner of San Diego, CA and Darlene Hayden of Greenwood and four grandchildren, Hal Davis, Braydi Davis, Brycen Davis and Anniston Douglas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Davis.

Spring Fling Flyer

Spring Fling will be held on March 7-9, 2013 in Dumas, Ar. at The Dumas Convention Center. This year we will be adding an extra day with some extra activities hoping to make it more fun and exciting for you. The host motel will be Days Inn, 501 Hwy 65 South, Dumas, Ar. 71639. Tel. 870-382-4449, Fax 870- 382-5880. The rate is $67.00 per night, just be sure to tell them you are with the AEMTA to get this rate.

Spring Fling will start on Thursday, March 7th, with an EMS Challenge. This event will test your skills as EMS personnel. It will consist of teams of 2 people. Registration will begin at 12:00 PM and I would like to issue a challenge to all Ambulance services to enter a team and test the skills of your personnel. There will be a $45.00 registration fee per team.

On Friday, March 8th, for the first time, we will be having competition at Spring Fling. There will be a First Responder Competition, and also a Street Competition consisting of a Paramedic and EMT emulating working the streets. The Fire/EMS incoming President has expressed a desire to have a Fire/EMS Competition also. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM and there will be a $45 registration fee for each team.

Also, for you EMS Fishermen, we will be hosting a Bass Tournament. Sign up will start at 6:00 AM and blast off at safe light. All Game & Fish rules will apply. This tournament will be a buddy tournament with a 5 fish limit. There will be 2 categories. The EMS category will include EMS & fire based service personnel, the second category will be local fishermen. There will be an $80 registration fee per boat. Prizes will be awarded for each category.

Registration will open at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 8th, with opening ceremonies beginning at 5:30 PM. Classes will start at 6:00 PM. Registration fees for the Spring Fling will be announced in January.
