2015 Midwest First Responder Conference Recap

The Eureka Springs EMS Education chapter of the AEMTA hosted another great conference this year! On March 19-22nd, the Eureka Springs EMS and First Responder conference was host to over 200 participants, including special guest Todd Maxson MD, whom did the keynote address. This year’s theme was pediatric emergencies. Keeping with this theme, Dr Maxson, pediatric trauma surgeon, discussed pediatric trauma emergencies. This conference, put on every year, includes an ALS, BLS and fire/rescue track. The entire conference featured several hands-on classes including pediatric high-fidelity mannequin scenarios, auto-extrication, thermal imaging operations, and searching for patients in house fires, among others. Special thanks and much appreciation goes to AEMTA for helping sponsor this event!
